Encroachment
Encroachment
Encroachment is a signed and numbered Limited Edition Print on archival Hot-Press Cotton-Rag paper printed using an Offset press tucked among the heritage industrial brick buildings and vibrant street art of the False Creek Flats in Vancouver, Canada.
These archival prints are printed with real pigment inks on acid, lignin and chlorine-free paper, and pH buffered with calcium carbonate ensuring archival integrity presenting an exceptional high colour gamut and a bright white smooth matte finish.
Offset Printing is a technique in which your artwork image is transferred through a series of ink reservoirs, solution fountains and rollers from a metal plate to a rubber blanket and then offset onto the cotton paper.
My first painting studio overlooked the pacific ocean across from a tall fir tree which stood alone on the bluff ~ At its very top, a nest of Bald eagles. The eagles eyes and mine would often lock as we gazed from the same heights with what felt like a mutual feeling. This is where the land ends, ecosystems collide and we both have been drawn to the edge, but here there is a fragility, an encroachment of habitats.
